2019 Recipients

The annual National Conference of College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) provides interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and mentoring from national speakers.  First or second-year students from SCSU and CSB may apply with faculty recommendations. Five students have been selected for this year’s conference, May 27 – 30, 2020 at the University of Maryland, College Park. Past students say this experience has been “life changing!

NCCWSL is a two-and-a-half-day conference that helps college students improve their leadership skills. Over the past few years, the St. Cloud Area Branch has sponsored 4-5 women college students from the College of Saint Benedict and St. Cloud State University to attend along with over 800 college students from around the U.S.

  • Application materials needed:
    • Attach a resume or vitae which includes any extracurricular activities while in college or your last two years of high school such as sports, employment, volunteer activities, memberships, leadership positions.
    • In a short essay, describe in 200 words or less, how your background and interests will contribute to the diversity of the conference and what you personally would like to gain from the conference.
    • Describe in 200 words or less, one or two of your leadership experiences and how they impacted your life. Note: Just like your resume, these can include academic and/or extra-curricular activities such as sports, volunteering, employment, etc.
    • Have a faculty/staff member from your college/university review your application and sign as a nominator below.
