Stand up, Stand out!
The Saint Cloud Area (MN) Branch of AAUW ha selected five full-time undergraduate women students from St. Cloud State University and the College of Saint Benedict to receive our Scholarships for Young Leaders! This exclusive branch initiative offers direct funding to students. This year’s recipients received $700 each.
St. Cloud State University recipients are Roxanna Iradukunda, a senior majoring in accounting and minoring in cybersecurity, and Garima Shrestha, a senior majoring in information systems.
College of St. Benedict recipients are Cecilia McNair, a sophomore majoring in political science and minoring in English and data analytics; Ella Jean Martin, a senior majoring in biology with a public health minor; and Abby Robinson, a sophomore who serves on the CSB Senate as the Sustainability Representative, is in the Honors Program and is a recognized CSB Women in Leadership Scholar.
Requirements:
- GPA 2.5 or above.
- Nomination or letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member.
- Membership in AAUW while pursuing degree, free dues.
- Attend one speaker program , assist with implementing an AAUW event/program, and/or assist the St. Cloud Branch AAUW with a special project.
Nineteen students applied and those not chosen were encouraged to apply again in the future.
