    Topic: “Becoming an Outdoors Woman”
    Hear about the opportunities for women who want to hunt, fish, or develop outdoor skills. This talk will give ideas for non-traditional fun that will broaden your talents.

    Speaker: Paula Sok, Owner Petite Spa
    Topic: “Taking Nothing for Granted”
    Paula will share her journey of survival when she and her parents escaped the Khmer Rouge (who killed nearly 2 million people) in Cambodia (1979) to a refugee camp in Thailand and ultimately one in the Philippines. In 1983 they came to the U.S. through Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.

    Topic: Updates about the new STEM charter school focusing on science, technology, engineering and math. This talk is of special interest to our group as we promote the sciences with young women and girls.

    Topic: They will present information about the project for which they received the grant. Come and hear about what AAUW does for local groups in St. Cloud.

    Speaker: St. Cloud Area School District 742 Superintendent, Willie Jett
    Topic: Jett will speak on the current trends, changes and challenges in District 742 since he has become superintendent. Members will be especially interested in treatment of minority girls in the schools.

    Our speaker started the Women’s Cardiac Health Program at Centracare and is knowledgeable in holistic healing.

    Speaker: Dr. Joyce Helens, President of St. Cloud Technical and Community College
    Topic: Dr. Helens will talk about the current programs and trends at the Technical and Community College. AAUW is reaching out to the College to encourage involvement of their students in the work of AAUW.
